The Artist

Jeff John is head sculptor for The Sacred Gardens Foundation. His fine art sculptures can be viewed at www.ringling.edu/~jjohn/TraditionalModeling.html, and include experience in a variety of scales, from life-size commissions, such as a blood hound in show pose for the President of the American Blood Hound Association, down to miniatures, such as Victor Bruno as King Tut for the 1960s Batman television series

In addition to his fine art sculpture, Jeff John has enjoyed a successful career as an automotive sculptor for General Motors. Here he was exposed to 3D scanning and computer-aided milling. His work for GM allowed him to further hone his skills in details and surfacing while sculpting life-size and one-third scale vehicles in clay. During his time with the company, he was selected to sculpt the bust of former GM VP of Design that is on display at the GM Design Center in Warren, Michigan. Jeff holds two degrees, one in traditional sculpting from Utah State University, and one in 3D Modeling and Animation from Ringling College of Art & Design.
